Betting Site Payment Methods for Nepali Players

Payment methods decide whether a Nepali player can use an offshore betting site or betting app at all. Most Nepalis pay through eSewa and Khalti. International cards hit a USD 500 yearly cap. Crypto is banned by Nepal Rastra Bank.

eSewa, Khalti and IME Pay

eSewa

eSewa is Nepal’s largest wallet, with more than 10 million users. Seven of the eight betting sites we checked list it. Minimums range from NPR 100 at 1xBet to NPR 500 at Mostbet, Megapari, Melbet and Crickex.

Khalti

Khalti is the second-largest wallet. Six betting sites list it, and Crickex is the gap. Khalti allows larger transfers than eSewa: NPR 50,000 per transaction wallet-to-wallet. Our Khalti betting sites guide lists the full limits.

IME Pay

IME Pay is strongest in remittances from abroad. Three betting sites list it for Nepal: 1xBet, Mostbet and Megapari. Few players use IME Pay as their main betting wallet.

Bank Transfer and ConnectIPS

Melbet lists Nepali bank transfer, and Crickex lists local transfer. Bank payments clear in hours rather than minutes. NRB caps debit card use at NPR 20,000 per transaction and NPR 50,000 per day. Those caps took effect in November 2025.

Cards and International E-Wallets

Betwinner, 1xBet and Melbet list Visa and Mastercard. A standard Nepali debit card rarely works on offshore betting sites. International online payments need a prepaid dollar card. NRB caps that card at USD 500 per year and allows one per person.

Crypto: USDT and Bitcoin

Nepal Rastra Bank bans all crypto transactions. Penalties reach three years in prison and a fine up to three times the amount. In August 2026, Kathmandu police arrested three people over 1xBet betting and 79,068 USDT in transactions.

USDT keeps a stable dollar value. A TRC-20 transfer cost about $2 to $4.50 in October 2026. Methods That Don’t Work in Nepal

• PayPal: PayPal does not officially operate in Nepal, so no betting site offers it there.
• Apple Pay and Google Pay: neither service supports Nepali bank cards.
• UPI, Paytm and PhonePe: these are Indian systems tied to Indian bank accounts.

How to Spot Fake Payment Pages

1. The domain carries a payment brand, like esewa12.app or esewa12casino.com.
2. The site asks you to pay a phone number sent over Telegram or WhatsApp.
3. Your balance does not update in the account after payment.
4. Support asks for a “tax” or “unlock fee” before a withdrawal.
5. The site claims an official partnership with eSewa or Khalti.

In July 2026, Nepali media reported several betting sites posing as eSewa casinos. eSewa has no betting partners, so any such claim is false.

Making a Deposit Through the Site’s Cashier

1. Open the cashier in the betting app or site, not from a link in a chat.
2. Choose the method and check the listed minimum.
3. Enter the amount in NPR.
4. Confirm the payment in your wallet app.
5. Check that the balance updates within a few minutes.
6. Save a screenshot of the transaction.

Never send money to an agent’s personal wallet. If a betting site only offers agent deposits, treat that as a warning sign.
